Jim Schlentz - is currently Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach at Colts Neck High School, NJ. He started the program when the school opened in the fall of 1998. It is now one of the elite high school programs in the nation. Their achievements in just the last 4 years (winter 2005 - fall 2008) include: The 2006 girls cross country team finished 4th at the Nike Team Nationals and won the NJ Meet of Champions, the 2005 team was #17 in the final national ranking; 5 Indoor and 1 Outdoor National championships; 18 runners have made All-American 53 times in XC, winter and spring track; numerous NJ State records including the Holmdel Park boys individual record, the indoor and outdoors girls 2 mile, and the outdoor boys 2 mile (8:44) and 4 x 800 meter relay (7:39); 3 different Footlocker finalists; and 14 individual Meet of Champion titles. In total, he has 18 years of high school coaching experience, along with 9 years of collegiate coaching experience (including 7 as a head coach), and 19 years of experience coaching elite runners. While coaching these elite athletes, six qualified for the Olympic Trials with one winning the 1996 Olympic Trials 10,000 meter race to make the Olympic team. |

Tim Collins - is
currently Head Cross Country/Track Coach at Lawrence High School. He has 9 years of
coaching experience at the collegiate level, both men and women, during which he coached 2
individual national champions, 2 national runner-ups, and 12 All-Americans
in events ranging from 800 to the 5k. He was a 2 time Atlantic Region Cross Country Coach
of the Year. He was also an outstanding runner with a personal best
of 1:53 for the 800 meters in high school and 1:51 in college.

Rich Byrne - has
established himself as one of the most elite and versatile runners in the
tri-state area over the last 20 years. He has personal best times of
3:48 for 1500 meters, 23:23 for 5 miles, 29:05 for 10,000 meters, 48:28
for 10 miles, and 2:19:11 for the marathon. He was a member of the
USA National Team that competed in France in 1990 and in 2002 qualified
for the 2004 Olympic Trials in the marathon. As a coach, Rich has
had one athlete qualify for the Olympic Trials in 2 events and is
currently the owner of "On Track," a store for performance
footwear and apparel.

Tim Mulligan - is
currently a volunteer assistant coach at Colts Neck High School and is
coached by Jim Schlentz. He attended the University of Dayton, an
NCAA Division 1 school, where he set indoor and outdoor school records for
the 5000 meters. This winter, he ran a personal best of 14:37 in the
5000 meters in Boston.

Noel Brock - is
currently an assistant coach at Toms River North High School in NJ.
She was National Division III Champion in the 5000 meters and a 7 time
All-American while in college. She competes for New Balance Jersey
Shore (NJ) and
has personal bests of 9:44 for 3000 meters, 16:44 for 5000 meters and
27:43 for 5 miles.

Jennifer Malavolta
- is currently a teacher at Stroudsburg Junior High School. She was a two time
Division III All-American in college. She competes for New
Balance Jersey Shore ( NJ) and has personal bests of 17:18 for 5000 meters,
28:59 for 5 miles, 36:39
for 10,000 meters, and 2:54:55 for the marathon.
